Moving along!
Clapotis is coming along nicely. I keep reminding myself how much $$ I spent on this yarn, and I DO NOT want to have to frog it. So, I'm being super careful. Almost done with the increases, and I can't wait to drop some stitches! Wheee!

YES
I have finally finished the two Christmas presents I've been slaving over since September. Man, that feels good! I can finally cast on for something new! I've chosen a small project: Knitty's Tudora and a big project: Knitty's Clapotis. This should keep me busy for awhile. I tried to pick patterns that were not going to bore me to death and that would both offer me something new (cables and dropped stitches).
I also dashed off a quick felted bowl this weekend. I'm not sure when I'll actually get around to felting it though. When I popped into my LYS to get the size 15 DPNs, my girl there said, "You're making felted bowls aren't you." Love it!

A new obsession...
I must apologize to my blog for ignoring it lately. You see, I have a new web toy to play with, and it is called Ravelry. Need I say more?
Be patient... Christmas gifts will be unveiled soon! Like... after Christmas!

Time flies...
I'm a new auntie! My sister had a baby girl, and we've been so busy! Me with knitting, of course. I have a few Christmas presents in the works and a few others besides. I've also been spending so much time on Ravelry.com, that I've completely forgotten my little blog here. I don't dare attempt to join a ring!
Tonight I cast on for Fetching, those cute little fingerless gloves from Knitty. Sadly, I don't think they are coming out quite right. I'm not sure exactly what it is, but I'm considering frogging it 4 rows in. My join isn't great and for some reason my purl stitches in the rib are all stretched out.
On the brighter side, I'm also making My So-Called Scarf from Sheep in the City. Now this is some good knitting! I'm using Patons SWS in Natural Earth. The hubster picked it out all by himself -- he has been whining for a scarf, so I will oblige.

First official gift finished!
New Hat!
I just finished the quickest hat in the universe! It's the Newsboy hat from Crochet Today Feb/March issue. I worked up a quick one in Red Heart super saver to see if I liked it, and then I went to my LYS and picked up some Kathmandu Aran because this hat was just screaming for tweed. I went down a hook size for my second version, so it would fit a little snugger. The bill is kinda dumb. I think I'd like it better without -- but then I guess it wouldn't really be a newsboy cap then.
