I really hope my sister-in-law doesn't happen on here in the next few days, because this is her birthday present! It's the Sunny Set from this summer's issue of Crochet Today. I used the Red Heart Soft Yarn. It's so soft! I love this stuff.

New Hat!
I just finished the quickest hat in the universe! It's the Newsboy hat from Crochet Today Feb/March issue. I worked up a quick one in Red Heart super saver to see if I liked it, and then I went to my LYS and picked up some Kathmandu Aran because this hat was just screaming for tweed. I went down a hook size for my second version, so it would fit a little snugger. The bill is kinda dumb. I think I'd like it better without -- but then I guess it wouldn't really be a newsboy cap then.

Knitting!
I am taking a beginners knitting class at a great little yarn shop called Ewe-nique Knits. Everyone there is so nice and helpful, and I've been having a great time in class. I have two knitting projects going right now: a baby sweater and a baby scarf. Stay tuned!
A few more FOs
Over the summer I've actually complete a few more items. Unfortunately, I gave them away before I took pictures. The first one was another Seija Set from The Happy Hooker. This time I used Ella Rae Amity in yellow, brown, and white. It came out great -- so warm and cozy.
My next project was the Baby Blues dress from the Crochet Today July/August issue. I used some leftover Ella Rae Amity in Brown and Encoreyarn in a light green. It came out so cute. I can't wait to see it modeled on my cousin's lovely daughter.
